Edison's multilingual products, which were developed based on lessons learned from the Great East Japan Earthquake, reflect our commitment to protecting people's lives.
For example, all messages are not automatically translated, but are pre-recorded by professional native speakers.
We are developing with an emphasis on conveying "reliably" and "accurately" even in emergencies, so we dare to translate and record in advance.
Since there is no need for a network environment at the time of broadcasting, it can be used even in places where radio waves do not pass or in disasters.
In addition, the messages included are checked multiple times by native speakers of each country, so there is no need to worry about mis-translation.

Development background
A strong desire to protect people's lives
Japan is a country where natural disasters such as earthquakes occur frequently.
On March 11, 2011, the Great East Japan Earthquake d'E201 d'E201 2011, not only Japanese people, but also many foreign nationals living in Japan or visiting for sightseeing lost their lives.
In addition, many people had difficulties, such as being hit by secondary damage such as tsunamis, power outages, and paralysis of transportation.
Based on these thoughts and experiences, in November 2012, we launched the Multilingual Emergency Loudspeaker "MLI Touch Megaphone®" that can announce evacuation guidance in multiple languages, and in January 2017, the fifth year since the launch of the product Multilingual Emergency Loudspeaker "MegaSpeak®" which reviewed the contents and functions based on the voice of the customer.
Currently, in addition to the loudspeaker type, we are developing in various fields such as app version and signage by making use of the know-how that we have been making multilingual products so far.
Edison Hardware's multilingual products are used in domestic airports, railways, ships, and other transportation systems, as well as in hotels, commercial facilities, and local governments.
Above all, we have gained the support of many customers because we place importance on "being able to use it in an emergency" and develop it without being sning from there.

In 2020, we launched L.L.Vision, a voice-synchronized LED signage, as a product that has developed multilingual products that can be used in the event of a disaster.
L.L.Vision is a product that can send information to more people by playing sentences with the same content as the audio on a thin LED panel at the same time as voice announcements. Of course, as with previous multilingual products, audio and text in four languages are played, so you can provide guidance and evacuation guidance to native speakers other than Japanese.
In the past, it is intended for use in the event of a disaster, but since it is possible to effectively broadcast information that combines sight and hearing, it can also be used in places where people usually gather and event venues such as commercial facilities and sightseeing spots.
